9th Annual Wine & Dine Fundraiser

 

Join us for a summer evening of professional networking, a unique wine tasting experience, boutique shopping, and opportunities to win amazing gift baskets benefiting the AWT Charitable Foundation. This is our Annual Fundraiser so please help us spread the word by inviting your friends and colleagues!

2010 AWARD RECIPIENTS

This year the AWT Charitable Foundation is presenting $7,500 in Scholarship Awards to:

Melissa Fenerci of Saddleback College - $2,500 Scholarship
Melinda Echevarria of Cal Poly Pomona - $2,500 Scholarship
Patricia Chin of UCI - $2,500 Scholarship

 

2009 AWARD RECIPIENT

Last year’s AWT Charitable Foundation Scholarship Award was presented to Shannon Stanton, a University of California, Irvine student obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a minor in Linguistics.

Shannon was awarded $2,500, and she said “The money granted by this scholarship would ease the burden of paying for housing, books, and food not covered by savings. I am eager to get involved in research in the field of Computer Science”. Shannon’s plans include pursuit of a Master’s degree in Computer Science.

 

AWT CHARITABLE FOUNDATION

AWT has established the AWT Charitable Foundation: 501(c) (3) to provide scholarships for women in Southern California who desire to study technology at a vocational school, community college, or four-year institution.  The Foundation's scholarship program supports the mission of AWT to increase the number of women in technology careers, foster career advancement through professional development and education, and provide a supportive network for women in technology. Since the founding of the AWT Charitable Foundation in 2006, AWT has awarded multiple scholarships and raised over $11,000 in scholarship dollars.
